 Pending Longnose Gar Record. Calaveras Lake!

Pending Lake Calaveras Longnose Gar record was caught today. David Mictica of San Antonio caught this Longnose Gar while fishing with his friend on Lake Lake Calaveras. They were fishing for Reds when he caught the fish. The gar was 38.25" in length with an 11" girth. The Official weight of the fish was 13.40 Lbs. The fish was caught on a live small Rio Grande Cichlid. There is no current Longnose Gar record for Calaveras Lake and David's fish will be the first. Paper work will be sent to Parks&Wildlife. Congratulations David on your pending record!

Congrats on the record. Does David post on here? No Andrew David is not a member.  He had never heard of the TFF until I told him about it and asked him it would be OK to post a story about his record fish.  Hopefully he will join!  I also posted a pending record gar that was caught by a 9 year old girl using a live Bluegill for bait. That story is in the Blue Gill section.
