I was on the lake last weekend for the first time in 2 months. I did not see anyone catching and the water is still muddy and red. How long has it taken in the past after a flood on Texoma for the bite to turn back on on the lake itself? From looking over the forum, the only fish being caught seem to be below the dam.

Do not really think you can go by previous floods to make the call on this one.Alot more water in the watershed over a longer period of time.Need water comeing in to slow down enough to let the lake to settle down.Once the flood gates are closed it should start to get better from there.May be Fall before we see a good bite come back on the main lake .Sure hope it is sooner.

If you're serious about getting out there and trying, I can tell you we had great luck in '07 when the lake level was about 635. Trolling in 25' was the only way we could catch fish. The slower the better. No monsters, but a lot of 5 pounders and really nice sandies. We caught all our fish between big mineral and walnut.

Thanks for the responses. I have a boat in a slip at Lighthouse and this is my second year fishing the lake. I will try the trolling suggestion! I hope they bring the lake level down soon.
