I'm taking the family to Port A in a few weeks... are crab traps utilized at Port A? I'm thinking about putting one out for a few days.

Yes. Crabs are EVERYWHERE right now. I wish I would have set some.

G Love,

I am also interest in setting some crab traps in the fall. What type of trap do you use, what kind of bait, where do you put them. Is there a season for crabs or can you trap all year long. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not versed in it but its pretty simple. Buy a crab trap, set it where they are (saw them everywhere in the bay in super shallow water) with a chicken leg or bacon or dead shrimp, whatever. Go out and check it, pick it up.

Use a fish head or scraps. The crab like that better than chicken
