I own two of the original first gen Falcons. When I buy a rod I don't worry to much about sensitivity because I feel that with the technology being what it is these days you could throw a blanket over all of the brands they are that close. The thing I look for is dependability and with Falcon you have that, unless you damage one of their rods it not going to fail. The two I own have seen a lot of use and showed no signs of letting up. The rest of my collection is American made All Stars and the quality is the same as the Falcons. All of these rods have seen 10 years+ of use. You won't get that out of a cheap rod......not even close......

I agree that most rods made now days are pretty decent, but having owned all series of Falcon rods, I know that there is definitely a difference in quality and sensativity. I currently own 14 Cara ST's, 2 "Originals" that are spinning rods, and one Steez frog rod. The Steez is my least favorite rod to use. It is light, 4.4oz, but it feels heavy because it isn't balanced as well as my Caras. My absolute FAVORITE Cara (currently) is my Cara Micro medium heavy. It's 7'0" and is perfect for weightless Senkos and soft swim baits. When it's jig time I like my Amistads. My Falcon originals are a medium light and a light. Both are used for drop shot and shakey head. The light is fun for weightless flukes. But tough to land a fish with... You have very little control if a bass over 2lbs is on. You are basically on for the ride....and hoping it ends well.

I can't say that I use Falcon Rods exclusively but I do have about a half dozen of them. Most of mine are the original Cara's that I got when they first came out in 02 along with a couple Low Riders. Bang for the buck it is still the best deal going,

I have 6 or 7 and love them, but must say snapped one half in too Saturday, a fish (can't say what) hit and went stright under the boat and snap, not blaming the rod since I didn't check the drag but would have loved to fight and seen the fish! I will replace it with another!

All for me as well. I've tried a lot of different rods,Powell,13,Duckett, and a few more. Falcon feel the best all around to me. Those other rods are good. The Falcons are just great. I have mostly low riders and low rider 2.0 but I like my bucoo just as much.
