If you know someone in Pecan Plantation, you can fish about nine miles of river. Or you can drive to the other side to the dam park and walkj down. You are not allowed within 200 yards of the dam. After Pecan it is pretty much private access all the way to Tres Rios. You can walk in or yak or float starting at any of the bridges. Brazos point has a good access point, but I am wary of the locals in that area.

Bassslayer123.. Thanks for the info. I don't know anyone from the plantation. I've seen the Brazos point access area on satellite imagery.. What's the deal with the locals? Anything I should be worried about?

I better keep a look out for sketchy folks like that. wink

Not much public access left down this way. (keeping out those parker co. crackheads ya know) Might try Ham Creek park or some of the private campgrounds around there.
