Caught a really awesome one while out fishing a river. It looks like a Hybrid to me. I have my guesses at what it is but if anyone else wants to take a guess, go for it.

Look like Redear to me, but the mouths are a bit different.

Has markings of a bluegill, but that red spot on that ear flap is definitely some redear in the mix

I think it definitely is part redear and has to be part something else.

Everyone is leaning toward Redear, but I believe it is a Warmouth/Bluegill mix. Because of the red spot, face shape, and mouth size.

It was the spring time, the water was murkey, fish couldn't really see what was going on but they needed to reproduce...and this is what happened...when the hatch came around everyone looked the other way, they all knew what really happened....

Eventually, luck will change. Skills, however, can be honed, added to, and improved.

Yep, that red color on only a small portion of the ear flap gives it away. I learned that from you a month ago in my Perch Species Identification thread. My vote is Bluegill by Warmouth

Bluegill!

Side Note: If it is a mix it is a mix with a Redear.

Just doesn't have the body, nor the inkling of coloration of a warmouth. Has to be'gill/redear if anything.
