About every 30 to 40 yards, since the lake went from 42 percent to 71 percent full in two days, we have floating mounds of fire ants. The fishing is still good though.

Anytime it floods they will ball up like that, if they hit you while you're in the water, you will be covered by thousands of those pesky little creatures...

Take you one of those propane torches and roast those suckers kill more in 2 minutes than

take rocks and throw to bust them up, saw that once that happens they drown....of course I would have my motor running and be upwind

I saw that on Lake Whitney a few years ago. Prop wash does a great job at breaking them up and drowning them.

How was the boat ramp? What's the depth at our new launch? Just wondering for my next trip

They opened the rebuilt ramp and moved the dock. It is an easy launch now.
