I will make a decision on July 20th. I sent an email to all the teams last week with the updates. If you didn't get the email then I probably have the wrong email address for you. If you didn't get it please text me your correct email address. Right now my options are very limited as to what I can do. I am waiting as long as I can to see if more options become available.

As everyone is aware, Lake Grapevine is closed to boat traffic.
Unfortunately we will not be able to use that lake for our tournament
this year. I have held off as long as possible to see if more options
would become available for us. I have to make a decision as to where we
are going to go in place of Grapevine. As you all know, I don't have
many options to choose from and I apologize up front if the decision I
make is not your preference. Someone has to make the decision whether
its a good one or bad one. I have thought countless hours where or what
we can do. The only options that I thought we had was 1, go to Eagle
Mountain or Lake Worth twice. By doing this I think that it would really
only benefit the locals on the two lakes. Also, This tournament is
designed for a 3 legged event on 3 different lakes. My 2nd option was to
do the final leg at Lake Arlington. I chose to not go to Arlington
because it is simply too small for 56 teams. It would have been the most
convenient because it is only about 15 minutes from Fun n Sun (final
weighin location), however, its just too small and teams would be on top
of each other causing a lot of arguments between teams. I have decided
to put Lake Granbury in the schedule because it is big enough to
accommodate 56 teams. I understand that its tough fishing on that lake
right now but they all are tough now. I looked into Lake Lewisville, Joe
Pool, Benbrook and all other local lakes and they are all closed. This
tournament is not designed to be easy, it is designed for adjustment,
mental toughness and consistency. If we wanted it to be an easy
tournament, We would do this in the spring where every one could catch
them. Again, I apologize that we could not go to the original lakes like
we do every year. Below is the official schedule of events for this
years Kings of Cowtown Tournament.

August 8th - Dinner, Meeting and Calcutta Auction at Fun n Sun. Dinner
will be served at 6pm and meeting will begin at 7pm followed by the
Calcutta Auction. This is a MANDATORY meeting. At least one team member
must attend this meeting. If you cant attend the meeting, you will not
be able to fish the tournament.

August 15th - Day 1
Lake Granbury - 6am -11am
Lake Worth - 2:30pm - 7:30pm

August 16th - Day 2
Eagle Mountain - 6am - 1pm
Final weigh in - Fun n Sun Hurst, weigh in line will open at 2:00 and
you must be in line with your fish by 2:30pm

56 teams on that lake would be fun to watch. One boat on every dock and then 10 boats on the dam.

If I had to guess, I would say rough creek, about the only one that will hold that many boats
