Is it safe to say one of these catches more than the other? I realize we have come a long way in fishing lure technology. Do you think at some point we have to say we have reached the limit on crank bait ideas and colors? They all claim to be tournament ready out of the box, tighter wobble, amazing rattles, no rattles, lifelike, hooks on top, blades, some even emit sounds. I was on tackle warehouse and saw over 75 different styles, not colors, that comes after you decide which style you want. having said that, I just ordered a few more for my box! [/b]

Reaching a limit means innovation has stopped, and that'll never happen. Guys who fish for bass are perpetually looking for the next little edge or trick and that will never stop, it's in our nature.

Baits have been much improved in appearance and are available in every variable in size, depth and action/wobble that you could want. There are many choices available for a specific situation which is a great thing and probably makes newer cranks a better choice but I'm not so sure if the appeal is as great with the fish as it is with the fisherman. There are lots of older baits that still catch them as well.
