I have an Elite 7 HDI with Navionics package. Problem I have is that there seems to be a "drag/delay" between button push and action on the screen. This us very evident when trying to name my waypoints. Highlighted letter seems to always be 2 beeps behind the button push. Also when I zoom in/out on the chart there will be a 3-6 second delay before the map will update. The screen will just go white and stay that way for a few seconds before the map updates. The only buttons that seem to be real time are my "pages" buttons. I have updated my navionics chip and there are no software updates for my unit on the Lowrance website. Is this normal or not. Been living with it for a few months now but it has become frustrting. Unit was new in Febuary when bought it.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!

Map lag is pretty common in those units with a hd mapping card like Navionics. The processor has trouble processing all that info at once.

That's normal, 3-6 seconds isn't that long...

Thanks for your input. Puts my mind at ease that nothing is wrong.
