I removed the bass fishing stuff from the boat and have decided to do something productive like putting some food on the table. Looking to go to Twok or Hubbard Thursday evening. I have chum, Danny King’s and cheese bait. We have a window of 6-10pm Thursday evening to fish. Normally I would go under the 2 mile bridge at Twok to get out of the sun and look for the bait and fish there. We are not opposed to sitting out in the sun. Hubbard is an option for us as well. Anyone have any tips for us this Thursday? Thanks Folks.

If you launch at the 66 ramp and go all the way to north where the river feeds the lake, you can get blues up there in the creek channel. Not all the way into the river itself, but in the creek channel in the lake. Channels mixed in, I would get some shad or perch, put em on a circle hook and get some of them blues.

Thanks Spaz. I reckon you are talking right out in front of the river where you make the zig and the zag to get up in the river. I guess there is current coming from Lavon?

Is this the Tom who used to cut and trim trees? If so, this is Matt Fox. How have you been?

I have not been fishing for cats on Hubbard or Twak lately, but I was catching them really good on another lake fishing for crappie in 20' on brush. Sorry couldn't help more

Yes there is a current. If you follow the creek channel north, as soon as you get to the flooded grass, drop anchor and start fishing. Fish right in or on the edge of the channel.

Hubbard is a good catfish lake. But...there is a reason people go east to Tawokoni and drive across Hubbard to get there. Just saying. I fish Hubbard becuase I can be there in just a few minutes, and I'm too lazy to go anywhere else.

Right on HL. I like me some Twok as well for catfish. We live right in between Hubbard and Twok.
Spasm's idea on Hubbard sounds enticing. Kitties in the current woot

I will be checking all week. Any other tips are more than welcome. Thanks, --- Tom

If anyone has an open seat on their boat, I would be more than happy to show you how I catch em up there. If not I'll be up there on my kayak this weekend.
