I have an older model Tour Edition that is making a lot of noise when operating the foot control. Any suggestions on how to lubricant and what to use?
Thanks

I have one. Probably bad bearings. R1Bass is a repair shop in Beaumont I have used with minimal pain.

If you are talking about noise when you turn it from side to side, it could be the cable or bearings. If you are somewhat mechanically inclined, you can change out the bearings and/or cable. There is one bearing on the shaft about mid way and one at the top. Give John at Jones Trolling Motor a call (he's old school, and a phone call is needed), tell him exactly what you are seeing and hearing, and he will tell you exactly what parts you will need. I've changed out the bearings, installed a new brush card, bushings and new seals, and a ground strap on mine. It wasn't bad.

Thanks for the help. It is side to side noise and I will look into changing the bearings. Cables are less than a year old so I think they are good for now.
