The Eleven Mile canyon stretch of the Southe Platte is awesome ...scenery and fishing!

Contact Angler's Covey for information and guides ...they will treat you right.

11 Mile Canyon is blown out now with all the high water ---- closed .... It may be ok by Aug. but it's a sure thing at Spinney Mtn. Bows avg 20" here and are eager to take big drys ----hoppers- damsels- beetles- caddis all get slammed. I fish this 3 days a week and may be there to show you around..

I've fished both 11 mile canyon and the "dream stream" below Spinney Mountain Res. Both are great fisheries. My favorite by far is below Spinney. The river is in a huge valley there and you can see for miles. I managed rainbows, browns, and cuts on my last trip there and the guide managed to help my wife land a 20" brown. As for guides I second the recommendation for Angler's Covey. Greg Blessing is my guy there. He knows the water, helped my wife have fun ( first time fly fishing) and makes a mean shore lunch. Bison steaks on my trip. Have fun and good luck.

I have to second 11mile canyon. I have fished it from 900+ cfs down to 85cfs. Always catch something. As of yesterday it was running at 795 cfs. I was in the field when it was closed. But couldn't find anything saying that it closed at all. But by August everything should be good. Heading up there this weekend. Bwo, Adams, rs2, wd40, San Juan worms, pink squirrels, and beitis nymphs work well for me.

The Arkansas River in Canon City - Royal Gorge Anglers (Taylor Edrington). About 1 hour from CS via 118. Wild water, 5000 fish per mile, Gold Medal Water. Amazing scenery in Bighorn Sheep Canyon.
