Folks it looks like the Funeral will be in Marshall, Joe's hometown. Satuday, July 18th, 2 pm Downs Funeral Home
Also, for those of us here in DFW, there will be a local memorial this saturday, July 11th, at Fox & Hound in N. Dallas @ 2pm till? (Midway & Rosemeade, just south of the Bush turnpike)
Anyone that knew Joe, Please come, & celebrate a great man's life.

As is usually the case I will not be able to make either and I feel pretty [censored] about it. I didn't know Joe as well as some of you other guys but I enjoyed the time I did get to spend getting to know him and remember the positive energy that he brought to the trips he was on. I'm still kinda in disbelief that this happened to such a good guy. It will not be the same without him.

Wow, what a great turn out to honor Joe's memory. Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks Brian for keeping the group up on Joe's memorial. We had a great time and got to see some of our tuna family and met Bazz too. He's not as old and crusty like his pictures. Good to meet you buddy and hope to get to see you all in a couple month's to fish and remember Joe again.
I was glad to see Joe had such a large and wonderful group of people remembering him. The number of pics of him showing him having a good time, smiling and either making a muscle or arms up was awesome.
