I've been on a amazing jig bite the last few weeks, probably caught more jig fish in the last 3-4 trips than I ever had in my entire life. Always have one tied on but just never seam to catch numbers. I kept telling my buddy that has been fishing with me it was crazy we hadn't caught any big ones with all the 3-4lb fish we had been catching. That changed yesterday boated a 8 even and a 7.6 weighted on my rapala touch screen, weights have been fairly accurate compared to tournament weights the last few weeks. These were probably the healthiest fish I have caught since the spawn. Might be addicted to throwing a big jig more now.

Thanks guys it was a fun day for sure, I keep telling my wife when it gets hot I'll trim my beard. This week will be the test for sure 99 on monday and 102 tuesday. I wear the same hat everyday it's not my lucky hat just provided for free and I probably have been through 2-3 hats since the sign pics. Only down side was these fish were caught shallow, I keep looking for fish out deep every trip, but they are just not out there. All fish yesterday were caught less than 5ft of water, wish they were in 15ft honestly.

No kidding. The last couple of weeks I've been catching them good shallow. The downside is they're not the right size, all small. I can't locate and catch the big ones.
