What should I expect to pay to have a shop due a good overall check on the boat and motor?

Ditto, maybe even more.
Worth the price.

Cylinder Compression, overall health of the motor, lower unit test. When you take it to them, they'll know what to do already, just say I'm buying the boat and need an overall inspection.

Good advice above. Don't even send it to the dealer until you have seen, with your own eyes, the clear titles on the boat and motor. Good luck with your shopping.
