My buddy has a pontoon boat that he recently installed a hummingbird helix DI via a trolling motor mounted transducer.

At slow speeds the depth fluctuates 70' but shows proper depth at higher speeds.

Anyone have this issue?

This same exact equipment was on his previous fiberglass boat and functioned properly.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

Interference from the maximizer in the motor. Make sure transducer wire does not run next to power cord anywhere.
Call Humminbird and explain the type of troll motor and they will probably fix you up with a choke to eliminate this. On highest speed the maximizer isn't on hence no interference.
