Does it get windy in that spot off Miller? I been wanting to head over there and try it sometime. I'm working this weekend but I would like to chase some sandies again but the wind on the main lake areas has been too much for me. It looks like the bridges would make a good wind block in that area. Let us know how it goes.

wind at Hubbard is a perpetual force. I've seen calm waters only a few times. Finding some protected water from the wind makes the fishing experience a little nicer, but doesn't always help the bite. Paddle point park has a nice wind break with Miller road going across there, so you can protect yourself a south wind on one side, and a north on the other. The channel under the bridge provides a nice little gathering spot for bait with the wind pushing it around if you are chasing sandies. Once you figure out that pattern you can find many similar places on a map that will provide you protection from the wind and access to it at the same time.

Good luck
