Was fishing up at Bridgeport on Friday AM, and my wallet fell out of my pocket near the ramp area. A very honest guy who was taking his boys to the lake for a day of bank fishing, found it, took time to find my phone number and called me to let me know he had found it and that it was safe. Then hung around the area while I made the 1-1/2 hour drive back to get it. Didn't share his name and wouldn't even let me buy his bait for the day. Sure would like to take him and his boys out on the water for a day On Me... There are still honest folk out there, he dug right past a crisp $100. bill to find my number.

 Good people are still around.
Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Similar story for me. About 10 years ago I stopped for gas in Wylie headed for Pat Mayse. I left my wallet on my boat deck and an honest man found it on hwy 78. He called and said he had my wallet safe so I was comfortable fishing for the day, on the way home I picked it up in Lavon. All my credit cards and cash were still in the wallet. I offered him some money and he said in front of his kids" I am honest and want my kids to grow up to be honest, a thank you is all I need"

Until you find out later he made a hundred bucks and! has your credit card information and racks up 10,000 bucks on them!! Just something to think about. Its happened before.I would let the credit card co. and bank know and to be watching for suspicious activity.

Good story. I always try to teach my kids that honesty is the best policy. Honesty and integrity can't be bought and this guy already had plenty.....
