Had an amazing weekend at Gibbons creek, first time out in over a month due to the boat being in the the shop for that long. Didnt get a lot of bites but when i did they were great. Fished in 7-14' of water during the day throwing a crank bait, caught a few small fish nothing to get excited about. But around 7 pm every evening we fished the lily pads in the backs of coves. I was using a Lunkerhunt frog, my first choice of topwater lure is always a frog. Lunkerhunt's frog is unique in that it has legs instead of a skirt. Caught both of these fish with that frog, the larger fish weighed in at 9.7 lbs! Personal best for me, was a very exciting catch! Cant wait to get back to Gibbons this weekend! Definitely need some practice with structure fishing in deeper water.

Awesome, It's been a year since I've been frog fishing on Gibbons. I need to get back there.
