May hit the lake this weekend looking for some crappie. I know where all the brush piles are and usually end up finding a few fish on them. I haven't fished the lake since this spring so I'm sure it's going to look much different with the high lake level.

Any advice on what side of the lake and depth I should focus on? Thinking about hitting timber as well. Any advice will be appreciated as always. Probably taking Minnows

Best advice I can give is "take me! take me!". scared

I would try some of the COE BP's near where you launch and then if nobody is home, head for some timber??? That is what I am going to try if I get a chance to get up there. Call me about the ramp.

Come out with us Ron. I've got a boat full but the lake is big enough for both of us.

How high is the water level there? Is it getting close to normal pool?

Ray Roberts is still 7.72 ft high.

Dumb question maybe... If the lake continues to drop, at what level will they start opening the ramps?

Good question. Maybe Cody Tucker knows and will chime in.

If I remember correctly they closed them all down when was just under 6 ft. high. So probably have 2 more ft that it needs to drop. Just a guess though.

I'd say the ramps will be re-opened a month or so after the water level gets to +5 feet. It will take a long time to get all the debris cleaned up and ready for boats.

They started closing the lake when it was 4 ft high. So... My honest opinion. And it's just an opinion.. Is it won't be open until at least mid September.
