Can you install a transducer shoot thru hull style , that has down imaging with it? Has anyone done this and did it affect there imaging of the down imaging?

I am not aware on any shoot thru units that will operate the DI.

If you have a Humminbird Down Imaging unit, yes you can use the transom transducer for shoot-thru.
The XNT 9 DI T is the transom version with a transom bracket.
The XIH 9 DI T is the shoot-thru version and comes with epoxy.
They are the same transducer.

Lowrance ducer you can use it as shoot thru hull, I'm just seeing if I go that route, if the down imaging be affected and not clear as in image.

Lowrance ducer you can use it as shoot thru hull, I'm just seeing if I go that route, if the down imaging be affected and not clear as in image. Thru hull ducers are less sensitive than transom ducers; I wouldn't recommend using the structure scan ducer as a thru hull.

It's a transom ducer with only 2d sonar and down imaging.

It's a transom ducer with only 2d sonar and down imaging. That would be the HDI transducer that does dual beam Down Scan and dual beam 2D sonar.
