 West Lake Park @ Lewisville lake ?

Will be going fishing from the west banks of "West Lake Park", has anyone gone to this particular area? Any tips on what i should be fishing for and with what?
Also might go to Willow Point just north of this park if its a better bet maybe?

Its recreation website states that it'll be closed until July 12th, so i'm just pretty optimistic here.
