(Opinion?)
Trailer maker's recommended psi or max psi according to tire sidewall--
Which is the 'right' one to follow and why?

Asked this on another message board and didn't get a definatve answer.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

Trailer radial tire-50 psi
Why-because its imprinted on sidewall.
Check your trailer plate by the winch it'll have the recommended
tire size AND max inflation. Which will be the same. 50 psi

Pressure depends on the rating of the tire. Maxxus makes a 10 ply that runs at 80PSI. Regardless, the max pressure rating(cold) is on the sidewall. Run them at that and remember that ST tires are only rated for 65 MPH.

yep, whatever is on the sidewall, recommended psi on trailer plate means nothing and you risk over/under inflation.
