It's not often that you can have a cop with you & then set to robbing a brushpile blind, but that's exactly what we did
We were slinging fish in the boat right & left, laughing the whole time
I'm not sure what wore me out the most, catching fish or laughing at each other talking "Smack" to the fish!
The evidence is in the pictures - Ronnie "Hurt'em" Roberts lived up to his name
We started fishing @ 7:05 & when I stopped to tie on a fresh leader & jig hook, I asked Ronnie, "What time is it?"
10:30 was his reply.
I told him that we had 45 in the livewell and haven't moved the boat from our 1st stop yet!!!
At this point, I have to say, "Be careful what you wish for!"
All morning I had been commenting that I sure wish the sun would pop out........When it did, the bite got tough.
We topped off our 2 man limit at 11:15, but decided to fish a while longer
Here's Ronnie with a mess of slabs for his freezer
All our fish were caught on Lil' Frys in Pearl Ice & Black Emerald Shiner......
I did catch a couple after we had limited on the new laminated Blue Glo-Treuse as I wanted to test the new pattern out.
Although a "Limit" is never really my goal, we both agreed that we had a sense of satisfaction
