What oil do you use for a Mercury? I use a blend from where I bought the motor but not sure what make it is? If I go to a Synthetic blend do I need to use up all the oil in the tank first (reservoir) or can I just add it to what is left in?

If you go straight synthetic you need to use up and clean out old oil. If you are talking about Pennzoil synthetic blend just add it to your oil.
