And how are you catching them? I'm hoping I can go out next week some time to target them from my kayak with some live bluegill

Went to the Brazos and trinity a couple times the past few weeks and haven't gotten a flatty yet, catching plenty of nice eater blues though, on the trinity the currents still annoyingly strong enough to drift your weights and snag you up, caught about a 4ft gator gar the other night bank fishing this big section of the trinity where 2 parts converge into this big lake looking thing

Give em a couple more weeks and most of them should be done spawning. They'll be hungry.

I caught a flathead at granger a couple of weeks ago. 12-15' of water on a live sunfish.

I think for the most part the only people who are catching them consistently right now are noodlers. I'm sure there are exceptions, but as stated above I think you will have more luck in a couple weeks.

Thanks,
Olen

I have been working Hubbard up on the north end near the creeks 3-5'. We have been catching a few blues and channels. I brought a few Perch the other day but no Luck. Do you know how deep and what type of cover you friend was fishing on hubbard?
Thanks

Shhhhh... don't tell everyone about my secret spot. Lol

If anyone snags a fishing pole, tackle box or a second fishing pole up there... I would love to have them back lol
