Have not made it out to beloved Cedar Creek to hit the boathouse lights since the lake filled. My son is in town this week. Are they under the lights? Thank you, Neil.

Haven't been either since she's been full however summertime is the right time! 10 pm to 2 am is normally the primetime! The southern end of lake normally has more action ... Find the brightest lights and the orange/yellow colored lighting as your safely cruising the shorelines ..And watch for any kind of bait action this will put some fish in your boat! Rattletraps and or small to medium size white crank baits will work just fine.. Weekdays are the best times with the less boat traffic out! The most dangerous obstacles are the boats out anchored or drifting with zero lights on Hope to get out there soon! Good luck and give us some updates

We went out last Friday night. Although the water was slightly choppy, we caught about a dozen fish or so. Most of them were baby sandies. So, all in all, it was slow compared to those great nights fishing in years past.
I did see a couple things I had never seen before: first, with the water a bit wavy, we could actually see small groups of fish hovering directly beneath the lights as the waves moved up and then back down, it's like they were just chilling out and "staring into the light" LOL; second, we pulled up on one dock and noticed a bunch of ducks floating around and I figured that the dock may not be holding fish since the Ducks had taken over---but we were wrong, there were fish under the ducks. So if you see ducks hanging around, cast beneath them.
