Me and the wife went to Lake Amistad July 4th weekend and I did not get a bite. I put in Sat and Sun at Black Brush Point. Had a very strong South wind so I fished every point, creek, and channel in the forks of Black Brush area and got skunked. Threw everything but the tackle box at em.... I will be going back the next two weekends to try and get revenge. Any certain areas of that lake to key in on? I noticed the water seemed up a bit and there was a bunch of brush up shallow- I focused on that. Thanks

Put in at Box Canyon these next two trips and try your luck up there.
- Look for the deep grass in every cove including the back of Box. Heavy drop shot this grass using a 1 oz. weight with a Heavy line hook tied above the weight about 4 inches. It drops through the grass better than any bait that you can throw. Fish the deepest grass you can find using a Gene Lawrue Hoo Daddy Jr. in Watermelon/Neon.
- Be watching for the best top water areas you can find and fish them the next morning. Look for grass matted on the shore in these canyons and parallel the line with a spook. In the thick stuff use a Bull Ribbit.

All my spots are on the Mexico side. Feel free to PM me if I can help on areas over there.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.
