I'm taking the family to Broken Bow Lake for a vacation July 16 and want to set some jug lines. I can't find much online about catfishing on Broken Bow but it doesn't seem to have any blue cats. I'm looking for advice for where to place the jug lines, depth and bait. Any help is much appreciated.

There are definitly blue cats there. My suggestion would be to go up where the river feeds the lake. That lake is very deep so don't fish on the bottom.

If you get a chance go below the dam and fish with salmon eggs(they sell them there in Hotchatown) and catch you sum of them little rainbows. They sure eat good off of a smoker.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

If you want salmon eggs they also sell them at the fly shop on 259A inside beavers bend state park. But I don't know how good the trout fishing is in summer. Lots of tubers, canoes and kayakers this time of year

I grew up in that part of the state when Broken Bow Lake was still Mountain Fork River. It is not a great fishing lake but is very scenic. Some time try going to Pine Creek Lake north of Valiant some 25 miles west of BB. It is a great fishing lake and also scenic but not as much as BB. It is probably closed now due to high water. It's the one the locals fish a lot but don't broadcast it. Before I put my camper at Fork, Pine Creek was my destination for good fishing.
