I took my kayak to a location that I've only fished once before. Fisherman13 was to show up after me, but he did join me. I got on the water around 7:00am, maybe a little earlier. I was rained on two times but that never bothers me unless it's extremely high winds and a downpour. All in all, I had a great day to kick my holiday weekend off.

In order that I caught them:


Little chunky bass.


Was surprised to pull in this big girl. I lost another one about the same size in the same spot. Don't know if it was the same one or not. It jumped and threw my hook.




This one doesn't look like much but it weight 2.75 on my scale. Put up a nice fight too.


The prize of the day. Caught her at 1pm right before I was going to leave. You can tell I'm happy about this one. Scale was bouncing 5.45-5.48. Close enough to 5 1/2 pounds so that's what I'm calling it.





I'm sure Fisherman13 will see this post and I'll let him add his pics to it of the bass he caught. I had a great 3rd of July, and my 4th wasn't so bad either

Oh and I shout out to Fisherman13... I really didn't even want to fish this place but he convinced me to. I'm glad he did.

Bass Fight Club


I didn't have the kind of day BankBassin had thats for sure! I had few ok fish and then it was a dink fest. But usually the swamp doesn't disappoint. You can see from the back ground why its called the swamp. Its tough to fish and tough to get to for that matter. Its a good 100-200 yard portage to the water from the place where its legal to park. It can be rewarding but its balance of heaven and hell.
