Caught one of the strangest looking carp this afternoon, was almost diamond shaped in all dimensions. Buddy of mine thinks it may have had a broken back bone, which may explain why I got almost no fight at all from it.





PB common = 41 lbs
PB mirror = 22.5 lbs
PB buff = 26 lbs

No buffs up here in Quebec, probably just the flash in daylight that makes it look that light colored.

If it were a koi I'd venture to guess there is a large abdominal tumor in that fish. They can live a long time with tumors in them and eventually become somewhat misshapen.

I have caught a couple of fish like that. I gotta believe that an early healed injury or a birth defect causes the humpback look.
