A few friends and I are thinking about camping/fishing about 10 miles (Give or take 2 miles) north of high bridge on the Pecos River. Does anyone know the water condition, flow and depth? We are taking flat bottom boats but I am curious if I could take my pontoon boat to carry supplies, etc? Thanks ahead of time!

Jim

Pretty sure all the land up there would be private.

I don't think the fishing will be all that great. Best time is earlier in the year when the whites are running. I've camped there several times and there is just a few good spots on the left about 5 miles in or so. I'm thinking you should be ok to launch just check with the park authorities before you head out. Gets really shallow about 6 miles in as you make the first hard left. Watch for large submerged boulders.
