Hi my name is Robert I'm new to this forum as well as surf,jetty,and bay fishing might as well say saltwater! I live on cedar creek lake here in east Texas and I'm a trophy catfish angler but I only fish from the bank and want to fish from the shore at the ocean also. I will be staying with my aunt next Thursday to the following Monday. She lives in league city,TX so its only like 15 mins from Galveston,TX. I would like some info on some good spots to fish from the shore. I fished from the shore next to fatboys bait and tackle last time I was down there but didn't catch anything. My equipment is a Abu ambassador 6500s with 20lb mono on a 6'6 ugly stick gx2 20-50lb line rating. Next is a Abu silvermax with 20lb mono and a 6'6 cherry wood rod rating 10-17lb mono. Then I have 3 big game poles Penn senator 113 black side plates with 30lb mono on a 8ft 2 piece catfish rod rated 15-30lb mono,Penn senator 113hlw one piece half frame model with new carbontex drag washers also has 30lb mono on a 8ft 2 piece catfish rod rated 15-30 lb mono, last one is a Penn senator 114h one piece half frame with 50lb mono on a 7ft Shakespeare tidewater rod rated 20-40 lb mono.. I have a spare rod its a 6.5ft Sam Scott all roller rod with aluminum rod seat I dont have a reel on it... Sorry for the long post what can I catch with my gear and what spots could I fish with the gear I have.
