Any opinions on a good kayak that is stable enough to stand up and fish? I have a scupper pro, but it's a bit too long and not stable enough for river fishing in central tx.

The best priced stand up friendly boat I can think of is the Diablo Amigo...$999.00
Lots of good options out there though. thumb

We have quite a few different models represented in the Belton area. Central Texas Kayak Fishing on Facebook is where a lot of the folks chat about trips etc. If you'd like to demo some different ones I'm sure we could get you in most options or get you connected with someone who can. What is your price point? That can make a difference in what you look for and also new or used condition. Tons of options on the market. If you would like to try a Ride or Thresher I can help. Also have buddies in the local area with Jacksons, Old Town, Diablo,Ocean Kayaks, Ascends and more. Feel free to shoot me a PM or email me or text 512.517.3936

Santa cruz raptor is a really solid standup kayak. It starts right at $1000.
