I saw one of these remote plugs installed on a new Ranger and just had to have one on mine. Since Ranger chooses to put the drain plug in the most hard to get to spot imaginable this thing is slick. No more crawling under the boat to mess with plug and if you forget the plug you can easily close it without having to get in the water or trailer it. Took me about 20 minutes to install and for $100 bucks it is money well spent.

I did not even think to take a pic of my installation but I installed it pretty much exactly like this in my splash pan.

Well obviously I can't speak to the longevity of it with it being newly installed but there is just an O-ring on it that creates the seal so looks like it is pretty easily fixed if it ever does give trouble.

FYI...I bought mine from Cabelas and is the one that goes into a Ranger. Maybe they are all universal I don't know but if you have a Ranger the one from Cabelas will fit right into the existing hole when you remove the old one and the screw holes match up.
