Have a rare occasion that my son will be in town Wednesday & Thursday. Going to take him to Athens Wednesday evening & Thursday morning. What experiences does anyone have on an affordable hotel in Athens that is "bass-boat friendly"(adequate safe parking w/charging capabilities). Thanks all. PS: Posted or PM fishing tips will be a bonus! :-)

Get a cabin at bluegil cabins between Athens and Canton, more comfortable. Bring extension cords to charge batteries and you'll be fine.

The Holiday Inn Express out on the loop in Athens is good. They have a couple places in the back to plug in your charger if you need to.

This is a very clean hotel and has ample boat parking and electric hookups. Call and ask for the fisherman's rate.

Holiday inn express or best western. Both are good.
