Utopia City Park is a good place to start! Water is clear and there is a nice population of fish. There are some very nice pockets of water all the way to the city of Sabinal. Watch for snakes. Area loaded with rattlers. River is in super shape and the water is crystal clear. The Frio is also in very good shape at the Garner State Park.

Sounds good. Do u think its possible to jump right in and fish small jigs around cover and overhangs for small pearch and small bass. I was hoping to get in at the house we r staying at.

Lots of heavy grass beds in that river! Small jigs should work well throwing from the bank around tree overhangs. I did very good last month catching sunfish. I was using worms!
