First I would like to thank George(didn't get his TFF name), for his generous offer when it looked like our engine had failed us during unloading at the ramp.
Today went into our record book for sure.
Started off fishing a brush pile in 16 FOW with only one catch (Spent about 10 minutes fishing that pile).
Next we fished timber in 18 FOW south of Twin Bridges, which was hit and miss. Put 5 in the boat from timber (Spent about 20 minutes).
Next was the bridge. Quantity wasn't there, but the quality was. East end was dead but the west end was very good in 20+ FOW. Every other pylon would give up one really nice crappie. We pulled 10-15 off pylons and the four biggest weighed 1.3# - 1.6#. Lot of wasted time on the east end on the bridge. Should have stuck to my plan to hit and move if no bites within a couple minutes. (Spent about 1 1/2 hours fishing pylons)
Last stop were Brush piles in 20 FOW by the old dam. Quality wasn't there but Quantity was. Lost count on how many we landed but had many doubles along with my wife's PB Bass weighing in at 7.3#.
All fish were released.
Caught on Homemade 1/8 oz feathered jigs, Blue/orange/white...Red /Blue/White...and Silver/Silver/Grey

That bass was caught with a 10' Pro Angler Crappie rod. That Crappie rod is a beast I tell ya.
With BoneHead Braid on a Pflueger Micro reel.
1/8 oz Blue/Orange/White feathered jig

Nice. We almost went out there yesterday. Ended up going to Tradinghouse instead.

Congrats to your wife!

What was the issue with your motor?

Impeller wasn't working, or something with the cooling system wasn't. But when I went to put the boat back on the trailer and romped on it, it started working. Didn't have any problems with it the rest of the day. Don't know if it was just stuck from not being used for so long or if something was clogging it (Hope it wasn't zebra mussels). I know I did have it all replaced this past winter though.

If the boat sat out of the water for a while, I bet muddobbers clogged up the [censored] tube. I carry a piece of wire to clean out the tube as this has happened to me several times in the past.

Didn't even think about dobbers. We do have plenty of those around here.
