Any advice on area and type of fishing to get my nephew on a shark next week in the rockport area? Ill have my boat down but now real versed on shark fishing and he is dead set on getting a chance at one. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a friend that would stay in Rockport, but take the short drive to Port Aransas and get on the jetty boat for $25 and catch all the sharks he wanted....I think it was one of the partyboats that offered this,but I can't remember?

FYI: Quite a few sharks are caught at Mud Island.

If you anchor just outside of Mud island or even a little farther north in Lydia Ann channel and put out enough chum during an outgoing tide I bet you'd hook up.

Saw a few crushing behind mud sat and Sunday and caught 6 right on the pt off Lydia island. Even more cruising the flats behind the island.
