Has anyone tried this yet? I use fluid bed's, just curious if anyone has tried it.
Electrostatic charging, then only heating one time sounds like may be worth it.

I haven't tried it. I just use a heat gun and fluid bed. Then bake them when I have enough to fill up the oven.

You waste quite a lot of powder (over spray) if you do not have some sort of collection system set up. I found heating and using a fluid bed faster.

It's a worthless gun. For not much more you can get one that actually works. You'll need some kind of rack to hold the jigs while you coat and cook. The waste is not all that great when you get the hang of it.

Be aware that your paint coat will be a LOT thinner than what you get with dipping.

Use an eastwood gun every day. Don't bother saving the dropD powder. Painted 800 jig heads this afternoon. Looks better and not all clumpD on your lure. Hard part is the rack. U will also find some powder paint suppliers are selling fluid bed powder, and some are for spray guns. Good luck

Thanks for the input, I am testing both guns at the moment, have built my paint booth, and yes have a nice set up for the powder to flow thru too.

Yes i have noticed that the powder is quite a bit thinner than the dipped tackle. But it seems to be very smooth too.

You don't need to preheat with static gun. Make sure your rack does not get bogD with powder. Clean metal and electricity will flow thru rack. Much learnD in 11 months at the slab lab. Hope ya sell a million

Careful u may end up making lures and not fishing. The Harbor Freight Gun is junk. Eastwood lets you turn up and down volts. If u use clear coats the low volt helps.
