I have a Terrova trolling motor and love being able to operate wireless. The problem I have is the internal transducer in the unit only supports 2D sonar and I would like to use down or side imaging. Of course that means using an external transducer mounted to the bottom of the motor. I am concerned about the cable then getting tangled around the shaft using or stowing the trolling motor. I'm interested in what others are experiencing with this. How do you secure the cable so the TM can be stowed and deployed.

I run an Elite 7 HDI with my Terrova and ran my cable through the head and down the slot on the trolling motor's shaft. Search YOUTUBE and you will find a couple of instructional videos on how to complete the install. If you have any questions, PM me....

+1 on what GTrigg recommended. I installed a Terrova on my boat and ran the cable through the head and down the slot on the shaft. Not very hard to do at all. I used silicone in the slot to hold the wire in place and its worked great.
