I was fishing a local lake the other morning and caught these two unlikely fellows on the same fly, three casts apart!

this guy was about 12-13 inches long!

Here are a few more I posted in the Bluegill section, pretty gills

Enjoy!

I snagged a turtle in the neck the other day while stripping a clouser. Didn't put up much of a fight though... I thought it was a boot or something.

Looks like you only missed out on the Green Sunfish and the Goggle eye to get one of each! Looks like a good day's fishing to me!
I've caught all kinds of flora and fauna drownin' worms with the wife, but nothin odd on the fly.

How about a smallmouth X spotted bass cross. I'm not 100% sure but pretty dang sure. . The first one is the one I believe to be a cross then a real spotted bass and last a real small mouth lol.

Cody and I too were in Oahu, Hawaii at the start of June, and Cody caught a Trumpetfish. Had to pull the fly down its snout and through its gills, clip the line, and let the fellow go. It was a hoot to watch.
