The Falcon Lake Guide landscape has changed dramatically over the past 4 years. Choose wisely.....look at websites, reports, Facebook etc etc.
I can't think of another full time guide that is working Falcon Lake right now. Coach C? I don't know much about his services, but did see him out there a few days ago.
Tim Griffin? I haven't seen him on the water in months.
Billy and Jimmy Behnken are not guiding. Jim Edwards has not been guiding much if any the last two years. Mr. Tommy Law is killing himself with another business venture. (Miss him down here tbh)
Robert Amaya isn't guiding and actually fished the last Basschamps.
Tough times down here on the border in the guiding business...best of luck in your search and if I can help let me know

Jay knows better than anyone right now. I had to weave through all of it this year trying to fish down there. Jim and Billy aren't guiding there now, check Jay's website, he is posting updates and fishing options Falcon and Sugar. Chad and I will be fishing with Jay this fall.

Edwards is still guiding. Jay Grieshaw was on some really good fish in June and Behnken is damn good too.

Jay is the ONLY FULL TIME GUIDE LEFT on Falcon Lake , and has been killing it this summer based on his falcon fishing reports and updates. He's on the water nearly every day, and booking someone who isn't on the water right now does you no good as the lake changes daily with rising water ( 10ft + in the last two months ). Falcon still kicks out big girls, just make sure you choose your guide carefully...

I have gone out on Falcon and Sugar with Carlos Oliveras 3 times in the last few years. Great guy and fishermen. http://falconheightsmotel.com/Home_Page.html We also stayed at his little motel. Nothing fancy but it worked out great. Clean, hot showers. I am sure you would dig it. Give him a call.

I know Billy is still down there full time, same as Carlos, Jim Edwards and Robert of Roberts fish N tackle.
But as the others have stated I believe Jay has more TOW than any of these guys and maybe even combined.
So Jay 10lbs or bust for the win with todays choices.

I do not look at this forum very often, but feel that a response is necessary to defend myself as a guide. The information providing that only 1 full time guide on Falcon Lake was incorrect. Just to set the record straight, there was and still is more than 1 full time guide here on Falcon Lake. One more side note, even if a guide does not post everyday, that does not mean that he doesn't know what is going on. Thank goodness my name was not mentioned as no longer guiding.

Matt Reed. He is a BASS Elite pro that also guides down there. Catch him in between tournaments. Fun guy to fish with and he is a giant magnet.

Tom Haralson is guiding full time also. Jimmy Steed is another good choice.
