I was playing around in the spring with a jig with flashabou as the tail material and it work perfect for a wide profile bait... I like the wider profile in the spring, it did pretty well when I could find the fish... I see a few people outside the state using material like flashabou and mylar for tails so I gave it a try... I call it the Firefly... Anyone else tried this?

There is days that a tail with less flashabou by all most half will help. Yesterday on lake Winnsboro I picked up a few nice ones on jig that was sky blue flashabou tail, number 10 crystal, silver body, and the head was fish head type 1/24 color new penny. lots of fun to play with these things.

I tied some flash tail jigs a few years back for a while and I think they are good and work. Selling them didn't do as well as feathers and hair though!

Looks good. I think a little bigger one like that would kill at the coast at night under the lights. Trout would hammer em'.
