It was another great weekend on the water. John Froehlich and I landed a total of 53 bass with a number of them being “quality” fish. Most of the fish came on reaction baits worked through various levels of the water column, but a number of fish were caught on soft plastics retrieved slowly in or near deep cover. Bass on Fayette County Reservoir can still be found shallow, but the majority of them have made the transition to deeper water. We found a couple of very large schools in 15 to 25 feet of water. Saturday was our best day landing 40 nice fish, but severe thunderstorms Saturday evening and night slowed the fishing down considerably by Sunday morning. We caught another 13 bass Sunday morning before loading up.

Thanks for the report. Can't wait to get out there again this week.
