O K when they get these flooded lakes open where will you look for the bass?

I would focus on newly flooded shallow vegetation that is in close proximity to deeper water.

Everyone will likely be beating the new flooded stuff to death. I'll be out offshore. The bass that lived offshore will likely be holding on the same spots they were before. The shallow ones are the ones that get all screwed up.

Your big bass that held onto the old grasslines will still be in there original spots. As someone mentioned, its your shallow, typically-though-not-always, small bass that will be going berserk in the new vegetation. They will be moving around so much trying to find a good ambush point it gets hard to pinpoint them. I fished with a buddy once who was beating the bank after a flood. The fish were biting on top like crazy. There would be one that would jump every five seconds or so. One would think this would be the easiest fishing ever. My friend tried everything, even topwaters, and did not have one bite. Bass were just too...excited, over all the new vegetation, there was NO pattern to get one to bite. I on the other hand was fishing the old grassline, about fifty feet out from the bank in about twelve feet of water and caught many good ones. Okay....time to be honest....I was the one in this situation who fished the new water lol so from personal experience I have learned to ignore the new water, no matter how well it may look like the bass are biting. But there are always exceptions....
