That was one very good tip from Bill regarding fishing the middle line of the creek. I need to try that more often.
But, Madison served up the technique lesson on that video. Did anyone notice that she caught a bunch of fish . . . and unless I missed it, she never set the hook by ripping it, but used a softer sweep and reel set? I didn't see any fish falling off either.
I saw a video not long ago where Gary Yamamoto was recommending a smooth sweep and reel set, said he saw no difference and preferred it.
I know it depends on what the presentation is, that Madison wasn't always aware of the fish being on the line early on, but the end result was interesting.
