Hi

I am planning to go for bank fishing in Lake Lewisville coming weekend. Mainly near Lewisville lake park & Tower bay park. Does any one have any latest report? Also is there any issue with flooding which may prevent fishing?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Farooqui

the last information i got is
---
Due to high water levels at Lewisville Lake, the day use areas at Lewisville Lake Park are closed until further notice.

This temporary closure includes the swimming beach, picnic areas and boat ramps at Lake Park and the boat ramp at Tower Bay. The athletic fields, golf course, campground and fishing barge at Lake Park are not being closed at this time.

The closure is expected to last at least several weeks until the lake level has lowered and any needed repairs can be made to Lewisville Lake Park.

----
so it says fishing barge is open.

They are closed until at least the end of summer.

Fair to decent channel catfishing along the shoreline. There's parking available along the frisbee golf area if you don't mind walking a little bit. Folks are using the parking lots at the soccer fields as well, and police aren't citing anyone for it.

Do NOT park in the fishing barge parking lot if you're not going to pay to fish there - they don't seem to have a sense of humor on the subject.

Be warned. Lots of fire ants, hornets and other goodies are in places that you might want to investigate.

Towerbay needs to drop about 4 more feet for the ramp. At 1ft every 10 days...
Could be a while.
