We started catching fish right off, within sight of the ramp
Bryley was quick to copy what I was doing and was in the action in no time!
After getting the presentation down, we took off to "New to Me" water and started graphing.
I showed him what I was mainly looking for, submerged tree tops & laydowns, with the top in the 8-16' range in varying depths.
Although we found quite a few good places, the sun had got up high and had created a strong upstream current.
We'd catch 1-2 and that was it. I thought maybe the new color I was testing might be to blame, but when I'd put on my usual "Go-To's",
the results were the same.
Bryley had to leave just after noon, but was able to take home 15 nice ones
But more importantly, I hope he took some keys on how to locate fish on his own for future use
After a quick lunch and an hour on an ice pad, I went back out - I'll post again soon
